Job Description
In collaboration with the Sales Manager and Business Development Manager, the Brand Marketing Coordinator:
- Builds marketing programs and materials to achieve sales goals throughout the season.
- Assists in managing the strategy, development, and maintenance of the Bylands direct-to-consumer e-commerce business.
- Shapes and grows the Bylands brand by utilizing brand strategy to drive decision making for creative elements such as label design, website development, and social media strategy.
- Develops and achieves our web and social media strategy by conducting marketing research to identify growth opportunities and acts as the main contact engaging with customers via social media and web channels.
- Photographs in-season product, edits images, and organizes/maintains photography storage to provide an image database for sales and marketing programs.
- Assists with additional projects and responsibilities as discussed with direct Managers.
- Provides Sales and Administration support
This role is comprised of 75% desk time and 25% outdoors. You will need a valid drivers’ license as travel between our local farms is required. This position will require some physical activity, including lifting up to 10lbs, squatting, bending, extended time walking/standing. Working outdoors means that you may be exposed to a range of weather conditions including hot, cold, windy and/or wet. We are also seasonal so we have a fast-paced, high-pressure environment during the Spring.
Qualifications
The person we’re looking to add to our team is:
- Currently working towards or completed degree in business, marketing or communications.
- and has experience working with social media and creative software (eg. Adobe Creative Cloud applications).
If you’ve also got experience with photo-editing, e-commerce, and/or website development, that’s a bonus (but not required). And of course, if you geek out about plants like us due to plant knowledge and/or horticultural training, even better!

Additional Information
The starting wage for this position is $20/hr. We are a growing company so there are opportunities for increases and promotions based on qualifications and performance on the job.
