Your opportunity:

Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) is a non-profit organization that delivers an objectives-based program for massively scalable, seed-stage, science- and technology-based companies. Its mission is to accelerate the commercialization of science for the betterment of humankind. CDL is a global program with sites at Oxford, Paris, Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Halifax, Atlanta and Wisconsin. The program’s objective-setting process enhances the performance of technical founders who learn from the insights of experienced entrepreneurs, increasing theirprobability of success.

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the marketing efforts of the nine CDL sites worldwide. This includes, contributing to the development of digital communications, providing website support, and supporting social media platforms and initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Determining the logistics required for the implementation of marketing and communication initiatives
  • Ensuring the consistency of appearance amongst digital assets
  • Producing promotional and outreach materials
  • Analyzing and recommending options for the development of visual expression/layout of digital assets
  • Advising on strategies to align websites with marketing/communication objectives
  • Creating and editing web pages with interactive media
  • Advising on social media trends and platforms to enhance digital communication strategies
  • Maintaining information on digital platforms

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BSC, BENG, or BCOM) required, or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum four (4) years experience in media, communications, advertising, or public relations
  • Experience with digital analytics tools including Google Analysics, Adobe Analytics, Hubspot, etc. (certification is an asset)
  • Experience in brand management and brand exploration
  • Understanding of sponsorship revenue models
  • Experience in event planning and execution
  • Front-End Development skills: well versed in HTML + CSS
  • Graphic design skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign
  • Videography skills in shooting and editing videos
  • Photography skills in shooting and editing photos
  • Knowledge of database systems, segmentation, and marketing automation tactics
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently

Assets (Nonessential):

  • Bilingual in both English and French
  • Certification in digital marketing platforms

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band 09 — $58,824 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $75,227. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
