Starting Wage: $24.34/hour

Shift: 7 am to 330 pm, Monday to Friday

I. Job Summary
Sets-up and operates a wide variety of equipment, and performs work per specifications, namely Off-road truck driver (articulated truck), labourer during maintenance work in a construction site.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

Operates equipment in compliance with the company operating procedure.

Verifies that equipment is in working order, e.g., tooling, safety mechanisms.

Performs daily maintenance and cleaning activities.

All related tasks related to the operation of the site as described in the collective agreement in force.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory duties.

IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

Education: None.

Experience: One (1) years minimum experience in a similar position or recognized training as a heavy machinery operator an asset

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

None required.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

  • Applicant must be 18 years of age.
  • Eligible to legally work in Canada with a valid SIN
  • Acceptable driving record required.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment drug/medical and background check, which will include previous employment check, and motor vehicle record review.
  • Ability to proficiently communicate in French
  • Good physical shape, must be diligent, reliable and conscientious.

Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the work day;

Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements rarely;

Normal setting for this job is: shop or field.
