Compensation: $20 hourly

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Systems & Impact, the Programs and Data Assistant will play a critical role in EcoSchools Canada’s programming and development activities, program evaluation, and performance and quality improvement. The Programs and Data Assistant will support certification program development, online application support and customer service, data collection, analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate is a data-driven and design-oriented systems thinker with a focus in environmental education.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Contributing to STEM-related resource creation and implementation
- Supporting program data analysis and reporting
- Supporting the administration of the online application platform, including responding to support requests and providing excellent customer service
- Administrative support of programs, projects, and partnerships
- Conducting a review of resources and making recommendations for updates and improvement
- Supporting the development of program policies and standard operating procedures
- Supporting with data collection and research tasks
- Other duties as assigned
Eligibility
- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the contract
- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
- Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in social sciences, sciences, environmental studies, business, computing, mathematics, engineering or related field (can be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program)
- 1-2 years of related experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods, program monitoring, and evaluation
- Demonstrated understanding and interest in environmental issues and/or environmental education
- Proficiency in GSuite (docs, sheets, mail, calendar)
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Excellent writing, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Resourcefulness, initiative, and flexibility to function collaboratively and independently as part of a hybrid/remote team
- Bilingual (French and English) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
