The opportunity

We currently are seeking for a Senior Consultant in Technology Transformation. Our Technology Transformation team is focused on helping clients deliver technology enabled business outcomes such as improving business performance or operational efficiency, transforming employee or customer experiences, all while managing risk and complex stakeholders landscapes. . Our teams help clients by delivering end to end Technology Transformation solutions. This includes the development of highly complex Technology Transformation strategies, defining technology operating models, delivering broader service delivery transformations such as a procurement or outsourcing as well as execution of highly and complex technology enabled program and project delivery. Our teams adopt an Agile mindset where it make sense from our clients point of view, helping them to achieve their transformation goals, process efficiency solutions iteratively, focusing on value realization. We provide Technology Transformation services across all sector and functions and collaborate with other EY teams in many cross-functional engagements.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant/Staff, an important part of your role will be to actively deliver on the engagements to support our client needs. This includes developing work products and assets to meet our client deliverables as well as establishing, maintaining and strengthening internal and external relationships. You’ll also identify potential business opportunities for EY within existing engagements and share these with your team members as appropriate. Similarly, you’ll anticipate and identify risks within engagements and raise any issues with senior members of the team. In line with EY’s commitment to quality, you’ll deliver high quality work, and work closely with senior members of the team to review and improve it further. As an influential member of the team, you’ll help to create a collaborative work environment, positive learning culture, and coach/counsel junior team members to help them to develop.

Demonstrate an understanding and interest in business strategy concepts, business/technology transformations, operating models, service delivery transformation all while considering the disruptive technology trends (e.g. DevOps, Agile, AI/ML, Cloud, APIs) which are prevalent in today’s economy.
Deliver quality services by demonstrating excellent client service such as establishing plans and objectives, adopting strong program/project management, and implementing practices to achieve high quality deliverables within expected timeframes. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.

Develop and maintain productive relationships with client management and colleagues. Focus on deliverables and client business priorities. Manage expectations of service and scope. Understand the client’s industry and recognize key performance drivers and business trends.
Demonstrate high level of technical and professional knowledge and quickly assimilate new knowledge. Keep up to date with current developments and trends in consulting services capabilities and industry knowledge. Get involved in the development of points of view, thought leadership, business development and market opportunities.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Experience in the delivery of a variety of technology related strategy and transformation projects such as operating model design, service delivery transformation (Outsourcing and Shared Services), tech-enabled business transformations, value creation strategies, strategic technology planning process; and enterprise cost reduction enabled by technology
• Management and technology consulting experience with a range of clients (e.g. large enterprise organizations, governments), delivering successful, high-impact technology transformation projects
• A minimum of 3+ years experience with a consulting firm offering management and technology consulting services along with a successful track record in the consulting or project delivery space either as a technology strategy consultant or a role in industry within technology transformation and strategic planning

Ideally, you’ll also have

• A post graduate degree or relevant professional designation (MBA or MSC are preferred. Certifications such as PMP/PRINCE2, ITIL, TOGAF and others are considered relevant)
• A willingness to travel to meet client needs (when it is safe to do so), while we expect changes to the way we work with our clients post COVID19 to change, some travel may still required – up to a maximum of 80% of your time
• Government of Canada security clearance, or the ability to apply for Government of Canada security clearance
