Our expectations
The primary purpose of the Senior Analyst, Information Security – IAM is to support the implementation and ongoing delivery of information security tools and processes. This includes responsibility for executing and improving processes and procedures with limited direct guidance from more senior level security associates. This role solves complex problems while creating and optimizing processes, and often takes a lead role in implementing new services and technologies. The individual in this role must have a strong understanding of most tools and processes supported by the team, including many of the key integration points with other parts of technology. They must be able to work mostly independently and occasionally provide coaching and direction to more junior level associates on the team. With a focus specifically on identity and access management, this role focuses on delivering timely, accurate, and controlled system access for the Lowe’s Canada global workforce. This includes creating and maintaining processes, tools, controls, and governance mechanisms such as roles, reports, metrics, and issue resolution services.

Your role
Analyze data to detect trends, make recommendations, and provide reporting
Lead activities to assess adherence to the information security processes supported
Identify opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations for best practices
Serve as an escalation point and mentor for junior staff
Contribute to and help maintain process documentation repositories
Develop standard operating procedures; identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
Collaborate with management to determine information security metrics and lead the collection of information security metrics
Maintain an awareness of information security news and trends
Create, execute, and improve processes and procedures in areas that include identity and access management, security policies, standards, and controls creation and management, compliance management, risk management, training, and vulnerability assessment and remediation
Support IAM services by performing complex access provisioning, access reviews, role creation, and end-user support
Complete high-complexity account lifecycle management and application onboarding to the IAM services, provisioning, access governance, role-based access creation, privileged access governance, and end-user support for IAM and access related service issues
Address complex and interdependent issues that span technologies, business units, and IAM services such as role management, automated provisioning, IAM governance, new work intake, process design, and optimization
Participate as a member of cross-functional teams to solve complex IAM service problems, creating and optimizing processes, and implementing new services and technologies
Fulfill complex information security requests for services, access, and information
Draft and interpret security policies, standards, and procedures
Apply and interpret regulatory compliance standards and advise on matters of compliance and solution options
Partner with senior key stakeholders to develop or update information security documents such as policies, standards, procedures, training
Create and optimize frameworks and tools and lead assessments of application and business processes to help Lowe’s Canada integrate security services

  • Work with IT and business to solve access issues

The qualifications we are looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, or in a related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
4 years of experience in information security
Intermediate understanding of fundamental security and network concepts (Windows and Unix security: OS lockdown; logging and monitoring; application security; user access; perimeter protection principles, network communication rules; intrusion detection and analysis methods; etc.)
Experience with IAM technology implementation and operation (e.g. CA, SailPoint, OKTA, SSO, MFA, IGA, Microsoft AD) (specific to identity and access management roles)
Spoken and written bilingualism (French and English)
IT experience in the retail industry (an asset)

  • Relevant information security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CRISC, CISA, or others)
