Job title: Director Radiopharmaceutical Manufacturing & Supply Chain

Job description: Our client specializes in pharmaceutical research and development, that is one of the leading organizations in Canada. They are looking to add a Director Radiopharmaceutical Manufacturing & Supply Chain to their superb team, located in Hamilton.

General Responsibilities:

  • Manage the functional areas responsible for routine manufacturing.
  • Support the implementation of new programs/technology.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on commitments.
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
  • Direct operations, logistics, materials management and support technical planning.
  • Drive improvements and implement changes related to the programs under their direction.
  • Ensure that all work performed is done in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Facilitates new or renewal of contracting opportunities between vendors and Internal Customers.
  • Support supplier relationships by coordinating activities with contracted suppliers as required.
  • Continuously evaluate, identify, and recommend Materials Management system efficiencies, and best practice initiatives
  • Oversee production schedules, materials, equipment and manpower requirement.
  • Support Quality Assurance during GMP audits by regulatory authorities, and those relating to Contract Manufacturing/Testing activities.
  • Develop budgets for capital expenditures, labor, and service contracts
  • In partnership with Business Development and Manufacturing units, evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Ensures compliance with Health, Safety and Environment protection rules.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Science/Engineering, or relevant experience in the field
  • 5-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • 5+ years of experience at the management level
  • Strong knowledge of GMPs and applicable Health Canada, FDA, EMA, ICH, PDA, and ISPE guidelines.
  • Experience with successful filings to Health Canada, FDA, and EM
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and trouble shooting skills
  • Excellent planning, communication, and collaboration skills.

This position is mostly remote; however, in-person assistance will be routinely required.
