Locum Hospital-Based General Pediatrician

Temporary Part-Time 0.5 FTE for 6 months

BC Children’s Hospital & the University of British Columbia, Department of Pediatrics are seeking a Clinician Specialist to provide clinical and academic services.
BCCH Complex Care Program provides high-quality, specialized services to children with medical complexity. You will provide physician services in the General Pediatrics, Complex Care Program. Duties will include new consultations and ongoing care of patients with complexity primarily as part of an outpatient clinic. If required, duties will include inpatient services. There is no after-hours call required as part of this position.
The successful candidate will be qualified in General Pediatrics with experience and success in care of children with medical complexity, as well as demonstrated interest in medical education and/or quality improvement in a hospital-based setting. Additional academic training in a relevant field would be an asset, but is not essential. In addition, you will have passed the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada examinations in pediatrics or comparable qualifications and be eligible for a license to practice medicine in BC. You will have or will be recommended for a clinical faculty appointment to the Department of Pediatrics, University of British Columbia. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
