Job description: 5N Plus Inc. has recently entered the Additive Manufacturing (“AM”) market, as the supplier of high-performance engineered powders and have begun to launch a broad portfolio of metal powder products to support this ambition.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are currently looking to fill a position focused on performance testing and application development for a wide range of metal powder products for additive manufacturing with a person that is passionate about supporting business growth and becoming a global market leader in the Metal AM industry. The chosen candidate will be working as a member of a cross functional team of product development, operational, and commercial to initiate and execute projects to succeed in the world of AM.

The application engineer is a key technical role who will:

• Work hand in hand with the commercial team to support customer activities such as application development and process assistance;

• Design and perform the testing of our metal powders on a variety of printing technologies to drive towards desired mechanical and performance characteristics in the AM market;

• Provide specialized consultation on selecting materials and printing process topics including printing parameters, post processing, heat treatment, and qualification tests;

• Execute technical projects from project scoping, proposal, printing, post processing, testing, and reporting;
• Perform root cause analysis and critical thinking to develop a point of view on market opportunities and risks;

• Develop strong relationships with our partner and customer contacts to enable effective engagement and execution;

• Process and maintain positive client relationships;

• Drive white papers and contribute to other marketing materials showcasing all technical features and processes;

• Present technical presentations in conferences and/or exhibitions.

Requirements

• Asset – B.S. in an Engineering Discipline Mechanical Eng
• Asset – Master’s or PhD’s degree in an engineering
• Essential – Demonstrated a working knowledge of metallurgica

Knowledge and abilities

• Essential – Bilingual (French and English)

Salary benefits : Assurance collective après trois mois. Augmentation annuelle au rendement et boni de performance.

Relocation/Travel requirements : 30 %
