Salary: Competitive with performance bonus.

Shifts: Mon-Fri, some weekend coverage may be required including a rotating on-call schedule.

Education: Degree or equivalent in a technical or engineering discipline (Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent).

Experience:

Experience of managing teams of electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers.

5 years minimum Engineering experience in manufacturing; preferably in a high volume CPG environment.

Project Management experience, Lean Six Sigma desirable.

Experience providing cost and timeline expectations on new projects.

Experience with engineering practices such as Lean Six Sigma, MSA, GR&R, Value Stream Mapping, FMEA, Design of Experiments, SPC, noise factor analysis, Kaizen, 5S, and others are an asset.

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent communication and influencing skills

Ability to work hands on with machines, equipment, and in the shop is considered an asset.

Solid analytical skills to troubleshoot production and quality-related issues with a large network of engineering resources.

Strong technical knowledge covering automation, pneumatics, electrical distribution, PLCs, control systems, HVAC, packaging, conveyors is desired.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Build and Maintain a high-performing team of engineering professionals.

Ensure the Production team has the ability to run at top quality and throughput.

Resolve manufacturing issues quickly, build and improve inefficient product flows.

Apply a lean mindset to the floor and drive the culture across the engineering team.

Design and implement equipment and processes for new products, improved automated processes.

Analyze and communicate technical information, including process capability, yield, and cycle time analysis to non-technical teams.

Lead on-boarding of new manufacturing equipment and development of new manufacturing technologies.

All other duties as may be required.

Working conditions:

Must have the ability to obtain security clearance status as per Health Canada’s Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations.
