Our expectations
Reporting to the IT Manager, Information Security – Engineering and Operations, the Information Technology Security Analyst will primarily purpose of this role is to support the implementation and ongoing delivery of information security tools and processes. This includes responsibility for executing and improving processes and procedures with occasional guidance from more senior-level security associates. This role solves moderately complex problems while completing both tactical and non-tactical activities in support of the successful delivery of assigned information security processes.

The individual in this role continues to grow his/her understanding across the various tools and processes supported by the team, including the key integration points with other parts of Technology. He/she receives occasional guidance and direction from more senior-level associates on the team.

Your role
Analyzes data to detect trends, make recommendations, and provide reporting;
Helps assess adherence to the information security processes supported;
Answers questions from associates about the information security processes supported;
Documents current-state business processes and opportunities for automation ;
Attempts to resolve problems, then escalates problems as necessary to appropriate resources (e.g., support team, vendor);
Contributes to and helps maintain process documentation repositories;
Helps develop standard operating procedures; identifies and suggests possible improvements on procedures;
Collaborates with management to determine information security metrics and helps with the collection of information security metrics;
Maintains an awareness of information security news and trends;
Helps consolidate security related findings, track KPIs, and present results to information security and business leaders and/or vendors;
Researches current technologies to assist in the development of new capabilities;
Translates and documents business needs into technical requirements and solutions;
Supports SOC Tier III functions such as threat intelligence, threat hunting, attack surface management and investigations as needed;
Follows processes and procedures as identified by the IRT (Incident Response Team) and the SOC Leadership to ensure the continuous improvement to monitoring, detection and mitigation capabilities;
Monitors security incident and event management (SIEM) and logging environments for security events and alerts to potential (or active) threats, intrusions, and/or compromises;
Documents event analysis and writes comprehensive reports of security incident investigations;
Assists with triage of information security service requests from customers and internal teams;
Escalates cybersecurity events according to Lowe’s Incident Response Plan;

  • Collaborates with technical teams to identify, resolve, and mitigate information security events;

Job Requirements

The qualifications we are looking for
IT experience in the retail industry;
Relevant information security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, PCI ISA, CRISC, CISA, OSCP, GPen);
University degree or college diploma in computer science or equivalent;
A minimum of 3 years experience in information technology with relevant previous experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment;
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft and Google cloud platforms, to include knowledge of all feature sets applicable to security event detection and monitoring;
Intermediate understanding of incident response activities: detecting, analyzing, and responding to various types of malicious activity;
Basic knowledge of SOC runbooks, SOPs and knowledge management function;
Basic knowledge of threat intelligence, threat hunting, attack surface management and investigations support functions;
Experience with malware analysis;
Fluency in French and English (spoken and written);
Be able to propose solutions and initiatives;
Have a concern for customer service;
Have intuition and vision to prevent attacks;
Possess a strong capacity for analysis and synthesis;
Ability to undertake research on security related topics and products;
Strong problem solving skills;
