Job Duties
- Responsible for the deployment of wireless sites
- Strong ability to read and comprehend engineered site drawings
- Dispatch and organize subcontractors for site construction and pre engineering phases
- Clear understanding of the requirements for site acquisition, engineering, and wireless site construction
- Completion of regular bid walks for the purpose of understanding overall project execution.
- Coordinates all resource requirements for projects including personnel, equipment, materials, etc.
- Reviews work requirements with Program Managers regularly
- Analyze technical construction issues and develop solutions to address issues.
- Assist the Program Manager with the close-out of projects as they pertain to punch lists and deficiencies.
- Ensure construction operations are well organized, coordinated and comply with client requirements.
- Key on-site liaison between the field team, Project Manager, Landlords, and clients as required.
- Maintains strong working relationships at job sites with client representatives, subcontractors, suppliers, and the labor work force.
- Responsible for the installation / commissioning of wireless equipment and coordination of subcontractors
- Adherence to project schedules and timelines
- Manage the overall site build from conception to completion.
- Ensures strict adherence to all safety programs and policies.
- Assist with hiring and developing our wireless and technical workforce.
- Time sheet approval for field staff.
- A strong advocate of the NCR process as it pertains to our Quality Management system
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Technical Diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant telecommunications wireless construction experience.
- Must have a solid understanding of the nuances of wireless site builds and an in-depth knowledge of what it takes to build or upgrade a cellular site.
- Ability to participate in the planning and overall management of a project schedule.
- Understanding of construction documents and the ability to ensure that they are complete, protect the owner’s and WTCs interest, clearly define expectations, and provide incentive to perform.
- Knowledge of construction project costs and budgets.
- Ability to build a strong team oriented and HSE conscious culture at the work site.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Work Conditions
- Travel to various job sites and other project offices will be required.
- Primarily an office setting with regular field/site visits.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Interacts with upper and middle management, employees, and clients.
- Repetitive work.
- Overtime, as required.
