Job description: Job responsibilities

• Owns and manages key functional areas and tracks the progress of multiple projects on the e-commerce platform (www.homedepot.ca). Projects are cross functional from Search, Path to Purchase, Architectural and Fulfillment.
• Drive technology roadmap and direction for our core ecommerce platform, exhibiting strong strategy, execution, design, and analytics skills.
• Delivery Ownership of Functional projects and technology roadmap projects using agile scrum methodology.
• Build relationships across core engineering teams and our search product teams to drive technology roadmap and business roadmaps hand to hand.
• Project management and administration that include work plans, projects, resource planning, status reports, and preparing annual budgets.
• Resolves information services problems by analyzing issues, discerning the most appropriate courses of action, providing tactical direction and, when necessary, re-allocating resources.
• Conducts financial analyses to support strategic planning on system purchases, upgrades and reclamation. Negotiates favourable prices with vendors on hardware and software.
• Communicates status of activities with the team, peers, management, and end users.
• Selects, develops and motivates assigned staff. Annual goal-setting and reviews of assigned staff
• Experience with project delivery for large, cross-functional projects with large-scale systems of world-class availability, scalability, and performance requirements.
• Experience with Cloud technologies
• Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
• Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones

Job requirements:

• Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+, Meets expectation, Consistently demonstrates).

• Functional Experience

• Experience in any E-commerce, retail, Software Engineering, consulting or start-up organization
• Experience working with Fortune 500 Organizations in a Project management, Scrum Master capacity
• Must be technical, capable of working with development and software engineering teams
• Must have IT Management experience with direct reports.
• Agile Delivery

• 2+ years of Agile Scrum experience at Scrum Master capacity. Demonstratable delivery & scrum experience.
• Delivery ownership of 2-3 functional projects and technology roadmap projects at a time using agile scrum methodology.
• Project ownership from inception to full production release.
• Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example.
• Facilitates Scrum ceremonies including Release Planning.
• Nice to Have / Optional Skills:

• Experience with cloud technologies, Micro services, Devops, SRE, CI/CD, web technologies ( e.g Java, spring, spring boot, angular, JVM etc.) & SOA/distributed applications architectures.
• Experience with project delivery for large, cross-functional projects with large-scale systems of world-class availability, scalability, and performance requirements.
• Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
• Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.
• E-commerce platform experience in retail highly preferred. Software development background is preferred.
• Experience working with senior leaders to drive business decisions
