Job description: WinstonBrock Recruitment, on behalf of our Burlington based client, is searching for Restaurant Manager.
As a hospitality leader in the Hamilton and Halton regions, our client is redefining the Canadian hospitality scene. As the Restaurant Manager, you will work closely with the Restaurant General Manager to execute food and beverage operations including mentoring, hiring, scheduling, inventory management, costing and POS system management.
Your day to day will include:
- Mentoring team members with a focus on upscale service standards.
- Overseeing and directing day-to-day operations of the restaurant including scheduling, planning, inventory management, and upholding superior quality and cleanliness standards.
- Managing and leading the front of house teams including host/hostesses, servers, and support staff.
- Monitoring reservations and event bookings to ensure all positions are adequately staffed.
- Leading by example with a focus on demonstrating the company’s core values and assisting in staff performance reviews to encourage development and excellence.
- Interacting with guests including resolving any guest complaints or concerns.
- Operating and maintaining the POS System including end of night reporting and guest check reporting.
You are a great candidate if you possess:
- Three years experience as a Restaurant Manager
- Upscale experience in a hotel or high-volume restaurant setting
- Superior knowledge of wine for pairing and upselling
- The proven ability to lead a team of 30+ team members
- Hands-on with experience with OpenTable, Micros, and scheduling software.
- A track record of establishing rapport with coworkers and guests, leading by example with the highest level of professionalism
- A desire to expand your knowledge of food and wine and be part of a hospitality group that is focused on being a leader in the industry
- The availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
