Job description: CBN creates customized, secure technology solutions for governments across the globe. Our customers look to us to design secure solutions to protect their borders, manage and confirm the identity of their citizens and manage the complexity of motor vehicle regulation. All over the world, people travel safely through borders, trust local currency and carry reliable ID because of the information systems and documents that we design and build.

Create and maintain Puppet classes for automated server and software deployment. Perform testing to ensure functionality. Ensure backwards capability with existing server infrastructure.
  • Provide operational support for Linux servers in a development and test-lab environment. Manage a set of Linux servers. Analyze server logs to assist in troubleshooting software problems. Research and propose solutions to operational issues. Gather performance metrics and tune server performance.
  • Create and maintain a set of BIRT reports that will provide insight into the transactional data stored in a relational database. Understand and analyze reporting requirements against a target database schema (Postgres/Oracle). Perform unit-tests on reports. Implement bug fixes. Conduct stress testing and performance testing.
  • Evaluate current schema suitability and adapt the design to fit changing requirements. Implement database changes. Document changes to database objects. Provide database support to software developers and testers. Monitor database performance.

What Will Help You Succeed?

Success in this position will require a diversified set of skills, attained either through education or relevant work experience. Beneficial technical knowledge sets are listed below – but don’t despair if you don’t have them all – so long as you are passionate about technology and have an appetite for learning, we still want to hear from you!
