Now, they are looking for a detail-oriented, driven, and organized Manager of Finance & Administration to join their team. Could this be you? Manager of Finance & Administration You will work collaboratively with the team, responsible for all areas relating to daily operations of the accounting department and financial reporting, including, but not limited to: oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and producing accurate and timely financial statements. Reporting to the Director, Finance & Administration, you will be responsible for the daily accounting functions, payroll, benefit administration, office administration, and reporting of on-hand inventory quantities. You are resourceful, flexible, reliable, and entrepreneurial. You enjoy challenges, while working closely with stakeholders in a fast-paced, small team environment. Practically speaking you will: * Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting team, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, corporate credit card account, general ledger, processing month and year end accounting entries, check runs, wire transfers, and debt activity * Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close * Quarterly HST/GST tax filings * Support fundraising activities and government programming, rebates, tax credits, grants, and other funding the Company is eligible to receive as we continue to scale * Coordinate and complete annual audits * Manage bi-weekly disbursement for approximately 30 employees * Work with the Office Manager to maintain accurate on-hand inventory levels and valuation, including periodic inventory counts * Work with our insurance partners to obtain updated certificates of request as needed for our various partners * Manage contract administration activities including NDAs, customer agreements, and vendor agreements The best in this role will be: * Independent – you don’t need or want someone looking over your shoulder. The Details This is a full-time, permanent position. If you’re currently located in the Kitchener/Waterloo region, the position is a hybrid model of remote + in office. This position is also open to candidates who are located in other provinces and interested in working remotely. What you’ll bring * Post-secondary education with diploma or degree in accounting * Sound knowledge of accounting procedures and practices with 2-5 years of financial and cost accounting experience * A strong track record of achieving targets, deadlines, and sense of urgency * Demonstrated advanced MS Office Suite skills, presentation, and reporting expertise, and experience with accounting software * Experience with consolidated reporting of multiple entities is considered an asset Your Application We value diversity and inclusion and encourage all qualified people to apply.
