Job description: Adecco is currently recruiting for a Production Operator/ Festoon Machine Operator & Logistic Handler for a full-time permanent role. Our client is a private sector client. This client is in Gatineau, QC. The ideal candidate must have means of transportation to commute to the location. The role assigned to you will be based on the assessment during the interview and the testing that will place after. Also, the client will have a medical check done on chosen candidates, and the fees will be covered by the client. * Production Operator
- Festoon Operator (specialized packaging)
- Logistics Handler
- Lab operator
Other information: * Between 36 hours and 48 hours per week for a total of 84 hours guaranteed every 2 weeks
- Stable schedule allowing you to shadow a team on 12-hour day (7am to 7pm) and night (7pm to 7am) shifts
- Possibility of working overtime
- Hourly rate of $20.70 during the probationary period (duration 1040 hours)
- Hourly rate between $24.00 and $35.08 after the probationary period, depending on the position held ( The role will be assigned to you from the first day)
- Night premium of $0.95 per hour
- Sunday premium of 15% of hourly rate
The Production Operator will have the following responsibilities: * Monitor, adjust and report on the state of the product at each stage of production
- Feed the machine with raw materials.
- Ensure the smooth running of production activities such as moving the rolls, cutting the paper and packaging.
- Produce and ensure the quality of the product
The Festoon Machine Operator will have the following responsibilities: * Ensure the smooth running of the roll to block process
- Pack and label the finished product
- Prepare the block for storage and shipping
- Ensure product quality throughout the conversion process
The Logistic Handler will have the following responsibilities: * Operate a forklift (training offered on site)
- Load and unload products, raw materials and other materials
- Complete necessary forms for order tracking
- Work in collaboration with all other departments
The Production Operator/ Festoon Machine Operator & Logistic Handler must meet the following mandatory requirements: * High school diploma (HSD) or successful completion of a high school equivalency test (SAT)
- Must have means of transportation (due to work location)
- Experience in a similar industry will be considered an asset
- Experience in operating forklifts and clamp trucks will be considered an asset
- Have a sense of responsibility and autonomy
- Available to work rotating shifts during the day, evening, night and weekends
- Work in collaboration with team members
- Attendance and motivation to work
- Ability to adapt
- Contribute to problem solving and propose solutions
- Ability to measure and evaluate spatial perception
