Job description: A career in our Financial Operations practice, within Finance Consulting services, will provide the opportunity to work alongside CEOs, CFOs, controllers and treasurers to optimise the structure of their finance functions and improve their contribution to the business. We support our clients by addressing the challenges of achieving appropriate standards of control, efficient back office opportunities and support to the business through insight and challenge.

Our team helps clients transform their finance function by executing strategies to reduce functional and operational complexity through streamlined processes, optimise d use of technology, and efficient use of resources to deliver cost effective, high quality services to all stakeholders.

What you’ll create and do

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

• Financial process analysis and design

• Finance technology enablement – EPM technologies for Planning and Budgeting or Financial Consolidation tool implementations, OneStream or Anaplan or Adaptive are a plus

• Performance management and strategic alignment design activities ; Performance measurement and analysis

• Vendor and software selection (EPM preferred)

• Alternate delivery models analysis, design and optimization (target operating models, such as shared services and outsourcing)

• Support the engagement director / partner in managing engagement risk and project economics including planning and budgeting

• Project management lead and support

• Prepare and review deliverable content and e nsure the quality of deliverables meets with PwC and client expectations

• Participate in and lead aspects of the proposal development process and c ontribute to proposal writing

• Team with PwC colleagues in other lines of services in support of client needs for Finance Consulting services

• Perform role of coach and actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities

What you’ll bring to this role

• An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work.

• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives

• Experience working in consulting firm(s) and Fluent in French and English, verbal and written is a plus

• Working expertise or strong understanding in many, if not all, of the core Accounting areas of:

• Order-to-Cash – order entry, customer credit, invoicing, accounts receivable, collections,

• Procure-to-Pay – procurement, accounts payable, invoicing

• Record-to-Report – financial close, consolidation, financial and management reporting, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Payroll

• Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting

• Experience in process improvement or re-engineering initiatives and projects in the core back office accounting areas in either a consultant or internal role

• Experience implementing Enterprise Performance Management solutions in either a consultant or internal role

• Experience leading both external and internal teams on large scale finance transformation

• Experience with ERP and/or Finance transformation implementation initiatives and projects

• Deep Understanding of or hands-on experience with financial applications and/or enterprise management solutions (e.g. SAP BPC, Oracle EPM, Hyperion, OneStream, Anaplan) is preferred.

• Demonstrated project management skills

• Big 4 consulting background is an asset

• Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA or CGA) is an asset
