The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a Business Partner working towards company goals by providing financial analyses, forecast and actuals reporting for management. This role spans all aspects of commercial finance support, including innovation analysis, supporting monthly forecasting and actuals reporting, as well as ad-hoc business decision support. The role may also be assigned analysis in support of the annual budget process, expense or balance sheet forecasts, statistical reporting, process efficiencies, optimizations and analyses of results.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Financial analysis of innovation/ new product launches, including development of full P&L structure
  • Actual Performance assessment and business trends analysis
  • Resource for multifunctional business leaders for day to day decision support, resolving accounting or reporting system issues
  • Assessment and ongoing F&A support for customer/ distributor agreements
  • Coordination of monthly sales performance and forecast review process with regional sales teams
  • Support trade spend or marketing ROI and effectiveness analysis
  • Support Commercial Finance Manager and Canada Finance Director on adhoc senior leadership requests or F&A project work

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance /Accounting or business
  • Accounting designation (CPA/ CMA) or at minimum candidate is working towards it
  • 3+ years’ financial analysis & reporting experience with some experience supporting commercial business partners preferably in a consumer goods environment
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, ability to develop innovative and flexible analysis for management review.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of different accounting, financial and analytical techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, balance multiple priorities and respect deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, strong proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
  • SAP experience preferred, with demonstrated knowledge of the capabilities of transaction and reporting systems.
