INTRO

Waste Operations Engineering has the in house engineers and technical staff to perform design and configuration management activities for waste services. Our Electrical, Civil and Mechanical staff have the codes, standards and specialized knowledge of the Waste Services facilities, and its operations to serve Waste Services in the delivery of its operations.

Waste Operations Engineering is looking for an innovative, customer-oriented, individual that will assist the Waste Operations Engineering Work Planning Coordinator in maintaining configuration control records, tracking Engineering jobs from start to finish, working with subject matter experts and project staff to plan engineering work.

This is a very exciting opportunity for an administrator looking to gain skills in thinking outside the box to develop new solutions for standardizing engineering activities to help deliver more efficient operations and services, we look forward to working with the student hired as they grow their skills in our business oriented area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Update excel sheets with current status of engineering work.
• Update records with information obtained from (project) meetings.
• Gather data through interviews, reviewing similar work and/or field observation of tasks to plan and document engineering activities.
• Gain experience with data processing by updating databases.
• Track and report on the status of engineering deliverables for projects.
• File documents (drawings, reports, assessments etc.) in an electronic database.
• Gain experience working with Foxit (a PDF editing) software to help maintain records.

REQUIREMENTS

Enrolled in Business, Administration,Office or HR College or University
