Role

Are you looking for an opportunity to use your senior administrative skills in a fast paced and dynamic environment? Join us as our Admin Team Lead for an opportunity to challenge yourself and advance your administrative career with the Government of Alberta!

Reporting to the Finance and Administration Unit Leader, you will be responsible for manpower administration and program support. You will utilize your exceptional communication, supervisory, records management and organizational skills to effectively supervise administrative staff that perform diverse program and business support functions.

As the successful candidate, you are a self-started with a Drive for Results and a keen eye for detail. Your Creative Problem Solving skills will encourage you to constructively question and challenge the way things have always been done when there is a clear opportunity for improvement. Finally, your ability to Build Collaborative Environments by actively sharing information and listening and accepting others’ points of view in an open, honest, and non-defensive way will help strengthen the Administration team.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience working with human resource administration, financial planning, and budget administration is required.
  • Proven experience supervising staff is required.
  • Advanced level computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

Equivalencies will be considered.

Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

  • 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
  • 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

Assets include the following:

  • Experience using Government of Alberta and ministry specific computer programs (eg: FIRES, CAS, and applications including 1GX (SAP), various database platforms and records management systems.
  • Knowledge of policy, procedures, agreements, regulations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory and interpretation skills.

Salary

$2,017.62 to $2,480.72 biweekly ($52,659 to $64,746 per year)
