JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the coordinator of Human Resources Services, to perform various administrative and technical tasks pertinent to RECRUITING AND HIRING FOR NONTEACHING EMPLOYEES.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from posting through to hiring.
  • Revise job descriptions in collaboration with departments/services and ensure conformity with the Classification Plans.
  • Prepare and post jobs online, and ensure accuracy of information posted on the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Communicate information about job postings with various stakeholders, including College employees, external applicants, the Support Staff Union (JACASPA), and the Placement Office as required.
  • Determine the order of priority of internal applicants in accordance with the Collective Agreement rules.
  • Coordinate the interview process including testing, referencing and presenting offers.
  • Act as HR representative and resource person on selection committees for the hiring of support and professional employees, ensuring a high level of professionalism and confidentiality throughout the selection process.
  • Liaise with departments/services for matters concerning the hiring of support and professional employees.
  • Administer files related to the hiring dossier, ensuring that all documents and files are saved and organized diligently.
  • Take part in regular recruiting meetings to share updates and issues related to active and upcoming postings, and to promote transparent and effective communication in the team.
  • Collaborate with the HR team in the development and improvement of HR processes related to recruitment and selection (strengthening talent pools of potential applicants, sourcing, marketing, etc.).
  • Act as back-up for social media postings.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education

Diploma of college studies (DEC) in Business Administration, Human Resources, or appropriate specialty or a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.

Specific Requirements:

  • Advanced level of English
  • Intermediate level of French
  • Must be highly organized and autonomous, and able to prioritize effectively with a minimum of supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and an effective communicator
  • Proven ability to deal with employees pleasantly and efficiently within a service orientation as well as dealing with difficult issues and situations with diplomacy
  • Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to produce effectively and efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to think critically and problem-solve
  • Knowledge of CLARA/GEREMI an asset

Testing may be required to demonstrate knowledge of:

  • Word (intermediate)
  • Excel (intermediate)
  • French (Intermediate oral and written)
  • English (Advanced oral and written)
