Responsibilities :

• Implementing and administering databases, principally Oracle & SQL Server, in accordance with the company’s business objectives.
• Act as a specialist consultant to the other IT teams in order to understand their needs and identify possible solutions related to the valuation of data and its interpretation
• Participate in project scoping meetings to establish design and database standards with the goal of respecting existing standards and to continuously improve/upgrade database infrastructure
• Learn relevant business processes and understand the data flow, criticality and dependencies
• Able to prepare and present job-related topics to upper management
• Maintain and Develop auditing and regulatory best practices in information security and accesses
• Act as a liaison between internal groups such as developer, analysts, and architects to promote best practices on database design and use
• Target opportunities to optimize work methods and processes, anticipate the underlying impacts of changes and make changes to data management tools
• Test, validate and document new functionalities released by Vendors
• Maintain and Improve patching framework and documentation
• Create detailed documentation including diagrams of database infrastructure.
• Develop T-SQL and/or PowerShell scripts
• In conjunction with team members, Develop Database Standards related to configuring, setup, maintaining, backups & restores databases
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to other members of the team
• Supporting the team and the business in resolving complex issues in an advisory capacity
• Engage with team to define, design, and implement suitable automated processes solutions to optimize the day to day support activities;
• Contribute to and maintain the internal knowledge base on database support articles

Required skills :

• You have a minimum of 10 years of experience with DB administration
• at least 8 years of experience with Oracle (Oracle9i to Oracle19c)
• 5 years of experience with SQL Server (2005 to 2019)
• You have knowledge of operating systems Unix, Linux and Windows, strong programming/automation background
• You have knowledge of database administration in SAP systems; SAP Hanna an asset.
• Working knowledge administrating databases with major cloud platforms;
• Experience working with BI tools and teams;
• SME for all ORACLE revisions 9i to 19
• Sound understanding of SQL Server
• In-depth knowledge of ORACLE licensing

Le rôle : Mettre en place des standards de base de données, participer aux réunions de projet et développer l’évolution des plateformes de bases de données, principalement Oracle & SQL Server, selon les objectifs d’affaires de la compagnie.
Compétences requises :

• Expérience en administration de bases de données
• Au moins 8 ans d’expérience avec Oracle (Oracle9i à Oracle19c)
• 5 ans d’expérience avec SQL Server (2005 à 2019) ;
• Connaissance des systèmes d’exploitation Unix, Linux et Windows
• Une solide expérience en programmation/automatisation
• Vous avez des connaissances en administration de bases de données dans les systèmes SAP ; SAP Hanna un atout.
• Connaissance pratique de l’administration de bases de données avec les principales plateformes infonuagiques ;
• Expérience de travail avec des outils et des équipes BI;
• SME pour toutes les révisions ORACLE 9i à 19c
• Bonne compréhension de SQL Server
• Connaissance approfondie des licences ORACLE
