Analyst, Enterprise Information Assurance

You will be responsible for using data gathering methodologies to understand whether data systems are correctly allowing the expected level of financial precision, analyzing the gathered information to identify root cause, develop recommendations to resolve data issues, and work with data stewards and IT resources to resolve data issues.

Your Responsibilities

· Work as a key team member of the Enterprise Information Assurance team to enable critical data-driven business processes

· Use data querying and discovery tools such as Alteryx, Snowflake, ThoughtSpot, PowerBI, Excel, and SQL applications to uncover issues with enterprise data

· Set up automated query extractions and report summaries that can be viewed in reporting and planning application such as ThoughSpot, PowerBI, and Anaplan.

· Be able to analyze information for significant findings and collaborate with subject matter experts to evolve the information into useful business insights

· Assist the Finance Planning and Analysis team, along with the extended CFO team, with data inquiry

· Collaborate with highly knowledgeable Ciena business experts to understand business data issues that reduce connected planning capabilities

· Be willing to train and learn how to provide operational support for Anaplan and ThoughtSpot

Minimum Qualifications

· BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or at least two years of experience using database querying tools and Alteryx.

· Eager to take on and work multiple tasks under the guidance of a business and data expert.

· Experience working with SQL, Python, data discovery tools, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio or LucidChart.

· 1-3 years of practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with data science, statistical analysis, data architecture
