The impact you will have:
As a Financial Analyst (Reporting), you will play an integral role in financial analysis and reporting cycles to support business decision making. You will work closely with Finance, Business Development, Sales and HR to provide meaningful financial analysis to support the month end close process. You will ensure accuracy of all data reported in the financial reporting systems (SAP). This is a unique opportunity to provide our business leadership with the analytical and decision making support to help them execute on their market strategies.
What you’ll do:
- Perform month-end system close process, and work with cross functional teams to resolve issues.
- Responsible for reconciling intercompany transactions and maintaining continuity schedules.
- Participate in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting, including preparations of journal entries, GL account reconciliations, and variance analytics on SG&A accounts.
- Prepare information required and liaise with the external auditors for annual audits.
- Work closely with the Finance team as well as the business units to ensure all transactions are recorded in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
- Support Planning team in preparation of annual budget & forecast of SG&A accounts.
- Document and maintain existing reporting procedures.
- Identify areas of process improvement, in partnership with all relevant stakeholder groups on an ongoing basis.
- Ad hoc projects as required.
- Provide direct assistance with drafting enterprise wide accounting policies, development of enterprise risk management processes and maintaining internal controls framework.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Accounting designation required – CPA.
- 4+ years’ experience with 2+ in a similar role.
- Previous experience with ERP system (SAP) is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong intermediate level computer knowledge, specifically in MS Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and time management.
- Able to meet tight deadlines and work in fast-paced environment.
- Able to work past scheduled hours due to deadlines, month or year-end requirements.
- Knowledge of IFRS, Intercompany and other Balance Sheet reconciliations.
