Part of the LCI Education network, LaSalle College is the largest bilingual college in North America. It is comprised of six specialized schools, including Fashion, Arts and Design; VFX and Video Games; Science and Humanities; Management and Technology; and Hospitality & Tourism, as well as an online training school, and offers more than 60 programs related to these schools.
The International School of Hospitality and Tourism is looking for lecturers for its program in hotel management techniques. Among the skills and concepts taught in this course are:
Management of restaurant operations
Measuring the performance of a restaurant establishment
Management of human and material resources
Management of reservations and customer reception
Master D software, Symphony (Oracle)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan the course sessions;
Deliver sessions in a dynamic, efficient and structured manner;
Design formative and summative evaluations according to the competency-based approach;
Administer and mark assessments;
Follow-up on each student and encourage success;
Be available to students in order to promote their development of the competency targeted by the course;
Any other related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
You must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet one of the following criteria:
Have a university certificate or diploma or a college diploma, with an option or concentration in the relevant discipline;
Teach or have teaching experience in the discipline for a full semester within the last five (5) years;
Have worked in a trade or profession related to the discipline or course for at least two (2) years.
