Department Overview
TD Securities (TDS) is a top-two dealer in Canada with a growing US business and global execution capabilities, offering a full suite of capital markets and corporate and investment banking products. Global Foreign Exchange (FX) is a key contributor to the overall success of TDS, delivering revenue and liquidity to the firm from various sales and trading business lines. Within North America, FX sales comprises of the following business units: Corporate, Institutional, Commercial and Retail.
This role supports the Retail FX and Precious Metals business within Global FX with a focus on managing and delivering foreign exchange and precious metals across TD Bank’s Canadian franchise. We seek self-motivated individuals who want to work in a fast-paced and high-impact business and who are committed to making a difference in the client’s experience with TD. We are looking for talented leaders to join an energized team that will deliver on TDS’ strategic objectives along with fostering One TD.

Job Requirements
- Proficient/ Fluent in French
- Applicants should have a sound understanding of Financial Markets; possess an understanding of Precious Metals and Foreign Exchange metals.
- Previous exposure to the precious metals industry is considered an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both independently or in a team environment with strong attention to detail
- Applicants require strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Some programming, macro building, data manipulating skills are an asset (i.e Python, SQL, VBA, Tableau, etc.)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for interacting with customers and partners at all levels across the bank
- Experience in a customer service and sales environment with progressive responsibilities
- Self-starter, motivated towards improving and developing the business
- Strong work ethic and ability to take initiatives and balance multiple tasks
- Service orientation and professional attitude
- Minimum requirement is Post Secondary Education (preferably Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting).
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course and CFA designation or enrolment in program would be an asset.

Job Description
TD Securities provides a wide range of capital market products and services to corporate, government, and institutional clients who choose us for our knowledge, innovation, and experience in the following key areas of finance: Investment and Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, Interest Rate, Currency and Derivative Products. TD Securities works with clients around the world, and our services include the underwriting and distribution of new debt and equity issues, providing advice on strategic acquisitions and divestitures, and executing daily trading and investment needs.
The Treasury Services team is responsible for the distribution of Foreign Exchange, Precious Metals, Money Market and Fixed Income product in the retail and wealth networks. The accountabilities for this role include sales promotion for the above-mentioned products which includes pricing and executing trades, identifying new sales opportunities, making proactive telephone sales calls, building relationships with our partners and identifying new sales opportunities to improve the TD Securities product profile.
Reporting to the Director, FX, FI & Precious Metals Distribution – Retail & Wealth, objectives of the role are to:
- Execute the sale of retail Precious Metals Products, Foreign Exchange, and Money Market, Fixed Income.
- Provide a high level of customer service by providing meaningful market information and transaction support to internal partners and clients
- Act as product and subject matter expert for employees as well as internal and external partners
- Manage, maintain and monitor pricing feeds and Product inventories for distribution within the bank
- Be proactive in taking on additional responsibilities that enhance business processes and support overall growth of the business
- Provide oversight of product information and distribution to Channel Partners ensuring that messages match Business Strategy and standards for messaging
- Monitor market conditions and trading activity to identify business opportunities
- Proactively identify business opportunities through cross selling and working with internal sales partners
- Understand and apply discretionary pricing in order to contribute to team profitability
- Contribute to the success of the business through personal and team development
