As a member of the Front Desk Department the Bell Person is often the first and last person a guest sees while staying at our hotel. The Bell Person is responsible for welcoming our customers as guests in our own home. Starting with the guests arrival, to escorting them to their room, orienting them to the features of the property and our city, to their departure; the Bell Person will ensure our guests feel welcomed, cared for and leave with a memorable experience.

Impact & Influence on Guests, Associates and Business

Welcome and assist arriving and departing guests this includes; assisting with opening doors/elevators, escorting guests to rooms, carrying luggage, calling taxis etc.

Identify and explain hotel and guest room features and amenities, hours of operation, special promotions etc.

Deliver items to guest rooms, i.e.; messages, mail, dry cleaning, packages, items requested by guest etc.

Deliver room service orders and retrieve trays from guestrooms/hallways

Provide valet and or shuttle service where provided

Monitor lobby, business center, hallways and public areas to ensure highest standard of cleanliness

Handle small maintenance concerns and or communicate to Supervisor

Knowledge of department cleaning products; this includes complying with all safe handling procedures and wearing required PPE as necessary

Conduct on the job training to new associates as required

Other duties as assigned
