Job description: What you will do:

The primary responsibilities of this role, Inside Sales Representative – Quebec, are to:

To develop a Bayer relationship with selected growers in Eastern Canada; educate them on the Bayer product portfolio and BayerValue program, provide technical product information and ensure a rewarding customer experience. It will involve defending and growing the Bayer Crop Science market position with lapsed and new growers, as well as developing loyalty to the BCS brand.

  • This position is a permanent role in Quebec or Eastern Ontario and requires the candidate to be bilingual in (French and English)
  • This position would be a Remote Home-Office in Quebec or Eastern Ontario with some local travel for customer training

Key Tasks:

  • Grow and protect sales of Bayer Crop Science (BCS) products and provide Product Support Services to the targeted Key Customer Segment to include both retail and Growers, in both French and English.
  • Generate sales leads as well as closing sales through phone interaction
  • Utilize inbound/outbound calls to pursue sales of BCS product
  • Develop Key Customer account penetration strategies
  • Responsible for understanding product offerings which include horticultural products, competitive issues and identifying new business opportunities
  • Liaise and collaborate with TSMs, RSAMs and other colleagues in the team for the purpose of managing the customer relationship and identify new sales opportunities to sell BCS product
  • Act as technical support “in season” through the Product Support Centre and to aid with technical support during the off season.

  • Excellent oral and written communication in both English and French
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma plus minimum 2 years (Seasonal is acceptable) experience in agriculture.
  • Preferred Horticultural product experience (tree fruit nut vegetables, vine, corn and soya beans)
  • Demonstrated sales aptitude; assertive, persistent, good listener, self-motivated, excellent closing skills
  • Effective management of timelines
  • Demonstrated successful customer relationship skills
  • Willing to try new or different sales methods
  • Must be willing to engage in ongoing learning and training and be able to implement these into work life
  • Effective collaboration and teamwork
  • Well organized with highly effective time and activity management skills
  • Customer focused
  • Driver’s license
  • Approx. 10% Overnight Travel involved
