Job Summary

The Senior Associate Client Management is a key customer facing role. They are responsible for ensuring coordination and execution of day to day customer/account management responsibilities as outlined below to optimize head office relationship, store satisfaction and deliver against business results. The Senior Associate Client Management is a first point of escalation for any head office or store-related opportunities/issues and ensuring follow-up and rapid resolution. The Senior Associate Client Management also collaborates with key internal partners from McKesson procurement, operations, transportation, customer service and finance on issue/opportunity resolution of escalated or complex cases.

Section A – Specific Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and oversees the daily operations of customer accounts in relation to:
  • Supports promotional, replenishment and forecasting/planning activities working closely with Procurement Ops coordinating, communicating where necessary to ensure successful execution
  • Key contact for flu and covid communication internally and externally
  • Seasonal planning related to key customer windows, ie back to school, holiday, cough & cold, etc.
  • Meetings/briefings on business initiatives
  • Support business review preparation
  • Mapping account plans
  • Coordinating project launch interactions
  • Contract management
  • Coordination of “three in a box” meetings
  • Trouble shooting EDI/ASN
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on process improvement/project management initiatives
  • Private label support
  • Work in close collaboration with Business Insights on key performance indicator reporting and supports Sales Operations in communication and rollout of key initiatives
  • Responsible for aged inventory analysis and resolution collaborating with procurement and customer
  • Works with McKesson departments, including but not limited to Finance, Operations, Customer Service and Procurement, to ensure that proper services are provided to the account, to anticipate and resolve issues and to identify revenue-generating and cost-saving opportunities
  • Acts as a customer advocate
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines with the proper level of service
  • Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Section B – Position Requirements

  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in a customer service, customer or manufacturer facing role
  • Post-secondary preferred
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to form strong relationships
  • Strong communication skills and strong ability to influence
  • Strong problem resolution and trouble-shooting skills
  • Sound judgement
  • Ability to comprehend customer and McKesson point of view to resolve problems
  • Proven interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and influence others
  • Delivers on results
  • Multi-tasking
  • Ability to lead initiatives and take ownership
  • Impeccable written and spoken English skills. French would be a strong asset.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients with good listening and questioning skills
  • Ability to approach issues from a number of perspectives, summarizing data to draw a conclusion
  • Full knowledge of account requirements for areas of specialization such as private label, Rx, OTC, CPG
  • Ensures compliance and drives service level performance
