The Business Technology Application Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of all Agropur’s Logistics and Manufacturing Technology Agenda. This includes warehouse management, inventory management, material management, transportation management, and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems). The position is responsible for Business Relationship Management with the Manufacturing and Logistics stakeholders, roadmap definition in collaboration with the business, coordination of technology architecture decisions and, an end-to-end charge of all Logistics and Manufacturing projects, from shaping the approach to achieve the desired outcomes through to delivery. The position involves coordinating projects and resource management within the program, creating stakeholder and sponsor communications, reporting and managing program financials to the BT Canada operations leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Acts as a product owner and leads a small team of Functional Analysts.
Partners with the executive sponsors to communicate goals, objectives, and potential outcomes.
Leads regular interactions with the project teams to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuing good relationship and shared vision for the project outcome.
Leads Agile and Waterfall projects, coordinating a diverse team of both Agropur resources and contractors.
Develops and controls the project budget and manages expenditure within agreed spending plans.
Plays a key role in developing the roadmap for Technology in areas of responsibility.
Acts as an advisor and builds and maintains relationships across the wider stakeholder community.
Leads the oversight of projects’ execution, their progress compared with the plan, and the production of agreed deliverables.
Monitors and coordinates dependencies across the projects in the program and resolves conflicts.
In partnership and aligned with enterprise PMO, directs or approves the establishment of a framework or guidelines for the use of contractors and professional service providers, and determines their use across the program.
Supports and facilitates agenda setting for regular project review.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Certification (PMP, Agile) strongly recommended
5+ years of experience in IT Project Management.
3-5 years of experience with the SAP Platform preferably in the area of Manufacturing, Inventory Management, and Transportation.
Demonstrated working experience in developing partnerships between business and technology areas.
Demonstrated experience in communicating among senior leadership.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ideally in both English and French
