This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Staffing Clerk creates and maintains schedules for all departments (Nursing, CCA, Admin Health clerks etc) as needed. Inputs and checks payroll, processes pay inquiries, corrections and follow-up, develops vacation schedules per NSGEU and NSNU contracts and is responsible for filling requests for time off (sick, vacation etc) The incumbent may assist with organizing and booking Resident appointments (CCA, bus and bus driver bookings). Other clerical duties may be required such as ordering of supplies, updating and replenishing forms and chart labels as needed.
Qualifications
- Grade XII plus one year post secondary business or administrative professional program
- One year related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- STAR computer knowledge or training
- Customer service experience
- Excellent organizational skills, decision making skills and communication skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours of Work
- Permanent Part-time (60%) Position; 42 hours bi-weekly
Salary Information
$20.2516 – $22.5016 hourly
