Job title: Construction Coordinator-SFR
Job description: Core Development Group is seeking a Construction Coordinator for its SFR division that will manage internal and external operations under the instruction of the Construction Manager and Director of Construction. Supporting both the construction manager, staff and contractors, this position presents a great opportunity to learn the inner-workings of the development industry in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. What You’ll Be Doing
- Support and assist the company’s Director of Construction, VP and Project Manager in the fulfillment of key functions and construction requirements
- Managing the quality of work and budget costs
- Communicating with trades, municipal inspectors, architects and engineers
- Preparing work schedules for contractors and laborers
- Identifying, developing and utilizing the talent pool to maximize productivity and quality of work
- Adhering to both budgetary and time constraints
- Reporting on progress and challenges throughout the preconstruction and construction process
- Finding and managing contractors and subcontractors
- Learning and applying the latest relevant knowledge to the work
- Other ad hoc duties including sourcing material and trades
What You Bring
- Past experience working with management in a fast-paced construction environment
- Past experience working with trades, subcontractors and municipal inspectors
- Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
- Extremely detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
- Exceptional communication (both written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization
- Superior organizational skills, time management, ability to prioritize, meet & set deadlines
- A quick learner with a positive attitude to take on new challenges
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

You effectively support the Project Manager and contractors via clerical duties including but not limited to: scheduling trades and services, coordinating calendars and organizing travel and accommodations
