One of our partners is looking for a skilled and dynamic mechanic to have an unforgettable experience in a northern village in Nunavik called Salluit. The primary role of the incumbent will be to maintain and repair John Deere and Caterpillar heavy equipment as well as Kenworth, MACK and Freightliner trucks.

As part of your work, you will:

  • Repair hydraulic systems.
  • Manufacture and crimp hydraulic hoses.
  • Inspect and rebuild hydraulic cylinders.
  • Perform maintenance and inspections.
  • Perform replacement of various mechanical and hydraulic components such as pin, bushing, seal, cylinders, brakes, etc.
  • Replace tires and repair punctures.
  • Repair 10-wheel trucks.
  • Carry out any other similar tasks.

Requirements:

  • DVS in Construction Machines or experience deemed relevant.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Good knowledge of hydraulic electricity, welding.
  • Experience with John Deere and Caterpillar products, necessary.
  • Good proficiency with the CAT and John Deere Service Advisor software.
  • English, an asset.
