Job description: We are hiring a Construction Project Coordinator for our client in Vancouver.

Are you a successful project coordinator with minimum of 2 years experience in residential or commercial projects with a large field exposure? Your current role is somewhat limited and you don’t see a career growth in the future? Maybe, it’s time to plan that next move.

Construction Project Coordinator will be primarily responsible from assisting Project Manager and Project Superintendent in complete execution of construction projects on schedule and on budget. This is an ideal role for an individual who wants to be a Project Manager in the next 3 to 5 years and is in the process of completing all educational requirements. Candidates MUST have construction industry experience in order to be considered for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Manager and Project Superintendent in managing all project activities throughout lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, budget, and other factors necessary for success;

• Review all drawings and specifications for design inconsistencies and conflicts;

• Assist the Project Manager to ensure that the line item descriptions properly relate to the contract documents;

• Work with Project Manager and Superintendent to input, update, cost load and resource load as required.

Requirements

• University degree/college diploma in Construction Project Management / Engineering or a related field;

• Minimum 3 years experience in construction projects as a Project or Construction Coordinator;

• Ability to read engineering and architectural drawings and specifications;

• Ability to learn new computer systems; knowledge of MS Project is an asset;

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
