Job description: · Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget

· Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates

· Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules

· Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors

· Develop and implement quality control programs

· Represent their company on matters such as business services and union contracts negotiation

· Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients

· Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions

· Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff

· Assist with obtaining work

· Assist with bidding and estimation on new projects where required

· Create project schedules and start- up documents

· Review and collaborate with Project Scheduler to ensure labour resource is sufficient

· Create project budgets and complete take-offs where required to refine purchase orders

· Manage and create project documents

· Obtain and evaluate contract bids from suppliers and subcontractors

· Work with Purchasing Coordinator to confirm best pricing for suppliers and subcontractors

· Create and supply health and safety documents to site superintendant and/or foremen

· Create and issue start up notices

· Request for purchase orders

Language requirements:
English

Education requirements:
University degree or a college diploma in construction technology
Extensive experience in the construction industry may substitute for post-secondary education requirements.

Experience requirements:
2-4 years of experience in construction industry

Experienced with European windows: Reynaers, Schucco, Sala, Kawneer, Rehau and facade system such as curtain walls, unitized curtain walls

Knowledge of AutoCad
