An employee-owned, Canadian company, Associated Engineering provides a broad base of consulting engineering services in the infrastructure, water, transportation, environmental, building, energy, and asset management sectors.

We currently have an opening for a S enior Construction Project Manager in the Roads Group in our Calgary office. You have experience in contract administration, construction inspection and engaging with clients and contractors directly in implementing innovative design solutions in the transportation sector. You will lead with a forward-thinking approach that promotes a team environment to improve overall group performance and client service. You will provide technical expertise and project management on transportation projects for public and private sector clients with a focus on highways, roads, bridges and transportation-related infrastructure. We are seeking direct contract administration experience with Alberta Transportation.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Providing a leadership role in the overview of designs, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents, as well as participating in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, and inspection.
• Advancing projects through the concept, design, and construction phases; managing existing clients; and developing relationships with new clients.
• Delivering projects on budget and within identified schedules.
• Acting as the primary contact for all project-related communications.
• Leading a multi-disciplinary project team to undertake major transportation projects.
• Mentoring and coaching a team of engineers and technologists.
• Engaging in a collaborative work environment with your team as well as other disciplines and offices.

Job Requirements
What you will bring to the table:

• Post secondary education in construction management, Civil Engineering or equivalent from an accredited post-secondary institution, including technical institutions and colleges.
• Registered or eligible for registration with ASET or APEGA.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation engineering or construction management in Alberta with a focus on projects for Alberta Transportation and the City of Calgary.
• Proven project management and business development experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
