The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager IT and Administration, the coordinator is responsible to support the organizational effectiveness and efficiency of PDAC by providing administrative and technological assistance to team members. Working with vendors, suppliers and facility management, the coordinator will ensure organization and maintenance of the PDAC office and equipment.

What You Will Do:
IT Support; Assist with the operation of all computer hardware and software; serve as the primary contact for troubleshooting and IT problems, engage with external vendors, assist with administration of various platforms, implementing new technologies and/or processes to increase efficiency, productivity, security and/or cost-savings. Perform updates to PDAC website.

Administration; Assist with the operation and maintenance of office equipment; engage in relationships with vendors, service providers and facility management, ensure a safe, secure, and well-maintained facility that meets environmental, health, safety and security requirements, monitor security access accounts and act as first point of contact for security related issues and emergencies, control inventory, organize and assist with office improvement projects, adhere to the administration budget.

Qualifications Required

  • College degree in a relevant field of study or a combination of equivalent education, job related training and /or experience (information technology, business and/or office administration)
  • 1 year of experience working in an office administration role
  • 1 year of experience providing Information Technology support to users;
  • Knowledge of hardware, software and computer networks
  • Extensive technical knowledge and/or experience working with Windows systems, MS Office, network, web-based applications
  • General understanding and knowledge of front-end development such as HTML5, CSS, Responsive Design, foundation in JavaScript
  • Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Agile and adept learner
  • Analytical with creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines and priorities
  • High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in oral and written English language skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Light lifting might be required

This position will be working remotely from home until the PDAC office reopens. Occasional visits to the office may be required. The PDAC office is located at 170 University Avenue, Suite 800, Toronto, Ontario.
