Job description: What is the opportunity?

To support Credit Administration with documentation, closing and settlement of bank debt in the primary and secondary markets.

What will you do?

  • Review trade tickets booked on ELTA for accuracy. Document any discrepancies and correct the ELTA ticket
  • Review credit agreement assignment provisions to determine eligibility of assignee and borrower consent requirements
  • If trade cannot be settled on ClearPar, prepare trade confirmation and send to counter party
  • Confirm and document any changes to the confirmation with the trader
  • Prepare bilateral or tri-party netting agreement if trade(s) is to be netted with counter party(ies)
  • Prepare/review Assignment Agreements and Funding Memos
  • Work with internal and external counsels on documentation and settlement of Distressed trades and NDAs
  • Provide prompt and accurate settlement instructions to Global Loans Administration
  • Update ELTA Pending Trade Status Report with current status of unsettled trades
  • Meet or exceed the service delivery expectations in terms of quality and timeliness as measured against department service standards, market standards and feedback from trading desks, and counter parties to the trades
  • Work with GLFMS/ACBS Support Group to implement new and enhance existing processes
  • Booking, valuation and sale of equities (AFS)
  • Resolve P&L issues raised by trading desks and Product Control
  • Prepare NDA (Master Confidentiality Agreements) and deal-specific Schedules
  • Maintain the log on Master Confidentiality Agreements and respond to inquiries from Sales, Legal and trading desks

What you need to succeed?

  • Undergraduate degree preferably Business/Finance/Accounting
  • Knowledge and awareness of key regulations and laws e.g. Bank secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, “SOX”, etc.
  • Knowledge of LSTA Terms and conditions on Par and Distressed trades and other market conventions applicable to loan trading
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, planning, organization and communication skills
  • Ability to apply technical solutions to business problems
  • Ability to identify and eliminate/reduce risk associated with loan trading
