We are currently seeking a Database Administration Specialist to join our team in Calgary, Alberta (CA-AB), Canada (CA).

NTT DATA, Inc. currently seeks a DBA to join our team in Canada.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain the performance of database servers.
• Install patches, applications and ensure upgrades are handled.
• Create database jobs, refresh and schedules.
• Develop processes to ensure database security and complete audits as required.
• Set and maintain database standards, manage database access.
• Performance tuning of database systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
• Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
• Be available for on-call support as needed.

Skills required:

• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server and related tools
• Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
• Strong knowledge of Unix and Windows environments
• Self-starter, able to work independently with a proactive approach to tasks and customer service
• Good communication skills, responsive to clients and able to prioritize and handle multiple clients and tasks.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in database administration, maintenance and support
• Oracle and/or SQL Server certifications preferred
• Experience with UNIX and Windows Server environments
• Extensive experience with database technologies and tools such as: RMAN, DDLs, Oracle Forms, MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB
• Experience with ERPs such as Peoplesoft and cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) would be a strong asset
