Job description: Educational qualification

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering with Three or more years of related experience in Dimensional Management required and 5+ years of GD&T experience required.

Mandatory Domain

• Consumer Electronics domain is preferred. Domains such as Medical devices, Telecom & Semi can be considered if consumer profiles are not available

Job Role

• The Dimensional Management Engineer will need to:
• Provide guidance on Datum selections, Measurements and GD&T application in accordance with ASME standards.
• Direct and monitor the development of the GD&T schemes of the models to meet ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Drive proactive engagement in between Mechanical Engineers, metrology department and suppliers to achieve the most effective dimensional control scheme.
• Provide GD&T consultation and training to internal team members
• Work in CAD systems to identify functional interfaces of component and system designs. Conduct CETOL / VisVSA computer aided tolerance evaluations of the subsystem and component designs to ensure design functionality

Technical / Soft Skills

• Work experience in CREO and must have 2,000+ hours using CETOL OR VisVSA tool
• Knowledge of part manufacturing and assembly processes/tolerances/distributions common to high volume consumer electronics
• Advanced ability to apply statistical techniques in practical solutions. Knowledge and experience working on statistical methods like Monte Carlo analysis

Desired Skills

• Also CNC Machining, Plastic molding, assembly, and High Volume Manufacturing experience required
• Working knowledge of quality inspection techniques, manufacturing fabrication, process and capabilities
