Reporting to the Room Division Manager of the hotel, the Executive Housekeeper is responsible for planning, directing and controlling all the activities of the housekeeping department in order to satisfy the needs of the clients and to ensure the efficiency and profitability of the service.

Job description:

  • Collect information on rooms to be cleaned and determine the order of rooms to be made, according to priorities.
  • Check the attendance of the scheduled employees.
  • Ensure that employees have all the necessary equipment for their work.
  • Occasionally, performs all duties performed by housekeepers (laundry attendant).
  • Upon request of employees regarding a problem in a room or in the laundry room, it must find a solution.
  • Verification of rooms and public places.
  • Enter information in the computer system that informs reception of room availability.
  • Maintain an inventory of items that are forgotten or lost by customers.
  • Hires and trains new employees.
  • Prepares employee schedules.
  • Compiling hours.
  • Verification of the hours punched by the employees and final preparation of payroll.
  • Responsible for staffing.

Education:

  • D.E.S. (Secondary School Diploma) – Essential
  • D.E.C. (Diploma of College Studies) – Asset
