We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Director, Digital Solution Architecture to provide leadership and direction to a team responsible for managing & maintaining all aspects of Digital Engineering architecture as well as steward architectural roadmaps that supports the Digital & Enterprise Strategy mission and strategic priorities.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the VP Digital Engineering & Operations, you will be empowered to:

Partner in leading strategic Digital Architecture

Provides advice, guidance, and recommendations to the Digital Architecture team on development of architecture standards, tools, methodologies and approves designs to ensure consistency with OLG standards and technology architecture

Leads the strategic Digital Architecture planning process to support the Digital & Enterprise Strategy Division vision, operating principles and strategic direction ensuring alignment with Digital Engineering strategy

Oversees strategic annual Digital architecture roadmap and to develop a holistic five-year plan aligned to and supports the long-term Enterprise Technology Strategy; works with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the exchange of information

Defines, implements, and governs Digital Architecture standards, plans and policies to guide the development, integration, implementation and maintenance of Digital & Enterprise Strategy Division applications and infrastructure, including collaborating with Enterprise Architecture and Security Architecture teams to ensure alignment with the Enterprise Architecture

Ensures alignment with relevant standards bodies (e.g. AGCO Standards, FIPPA etc.)

Identifies opportunities to accelerate the technology utilization to meet business goals, maximize the business value from OLG’s digital technology investments and unleash overarching innovation.

Defines and develops the acceptance of the future state of the Digital technology base and the overall digital architecture roadmap for alignment

Develop Tools for an integrated digital information and technology architecture & promote innovative solutions

Builds and maintains an integrated digital information and technology architecture and promote the innovative practices in information and knowledge management tools.

Leverages Enterprise Architecture disciplines to build an integrated system architecture for all of OLG that is aligned to the Enterprise Technology strategy and roadmap

Oversees the review of new initiatives for business and technical feasibility and to confirm alignment with Enterprise Architecture roadmaps; recommends solutions and priorities to incorporate best practices, current trends, and concepts

Proactively gathers research and insights on the Digital Technology Architecture trends and emerging best practices

Leads and provides overall direction to the Digital Architecture staff, including defining team member roles, responsibilities, and expectations; provides timely coaching and performance feedback, ensuring a cohesive operational unit with optimum use of team skills

Establish Critical Relationships & Communication

Works in close partnership with the lab team and product owners to gather and understand business requirements.

Interacts with Enterprise IT to ensure alignment with standards and requirements (e.g. Enterprise Architecture and Information Security) as required.

Works with Digital Software Developers to ensure designs are communicated and understood by the software engineers and provide direction on software design related matters

Works with other Architecture teams or centers of excellence in OLG to align on process, best practices, and standards

Works with 3rd party or contracted resources or external technology vendors to collaborate and jointly design solutions

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY

Work Experience: Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in Digital Architecture within a large to medium sized Technology environment. Minimum six (6) years’ experience in leading the design, build and implementation of complex business application and technology solutions involving multiple technology areas. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in managing teams, either in a managerial or supervisory role

Certifications: ITIL certification and/or other Technology certifications and designations advantageous

Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of architecture disciplines including but not limited to Information Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Application Architecture, Security Architecture, Business Architecture, Cloud Computing Architecture, Platform Architecture. Broad knowledge in all areas of Technology, including market, technology, operations, and processes. Specific knowledge of Technology architecture work processes. Experience leading projects including development and infrastructure. Enterprise Architecture frameworks/certifications (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.) and/or other architectural certifications advantageous. Knowledge of and experience with methodology and tools for developing, communicating, and governing principles, methods and models for business processes, information systems and infrastructure. Knowledge of and ability to design, apply and evaluate new information technologies for business environments to improve work productivity and accuracy.
