In order to meet their needs, Intact is seeking a Director of Legal Affairs to lead the legal sub-group responsible for the company’s transactional activities in Quebec. The Director of Legal Affairs will be responsible for a team consisting of six experienced professionals, three lawyers and three paralegals.

On a day-to-day basis, your time will be spent primarily on transactional matters involving insurance brokers, including acquisitions, equity investments, financings, joint venture agreements and dispositions. You will also be involved in the analysis of business opportunities and Quebec transactional law files aimed at the growth of companies in sectors related to Intact’s activities and which are part of its portfolio. You will also play an active role in the standardization of practices at the national level, working with your colleagues to standardize practices, in collaboration with your team.
