Shift: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, flexible schedule with core hours of 9am to 3pm

RFRK proudly serves nutritious meals and snacks to thousands of children throughout the Greater Toronto & Hamilton Area every day. We’ve also recently launched our Real Food Kitchen Delivery service (myrfk.ca) to get our yummy food directly into households. Having recently received HACCP certification, we’re well poised for growth into new markets and planning for significant expansion over the coming years.

About the Role:

This role is responsible for strategic business planning, overseeing budget/forecast preparation, and managing administrative functions for our Finance & Accounting and Talent, Training & Culture teams. As a member of the Strategic Leadership Team (SLT), the Director of Administration contributes to short and long term planning, conducts financial analyses for the CEO as required, and supports management decisions and organizational planning.

Some of the things you’ll get paid to do:

Finance & Accounting

Responsible for department and strategic planning

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, adhere to best-practice accounting methods

Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed to SLT

Oversees process and approves monthly and annual budget/forecasts to ensure alignment with strategic goals and provides support for variance analysis

Manage relationship with external accountants or any other finance/accounting consultants, oversee annual financial audit

People & Organizational Strategy

Evolve and develop organizational design based on changing priorities & team effectiveness in collaboration with the SLT

Enhance current HR strategy while simultaneously implementing the building blocks of a long range HR strategy to achieve our Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG)

Support, lead and coach RFRK management in organizational-wide changes (ie. ERP Implementation) through cultural transformation by utilizing a variety of change management strategies and tactics

Generate long term payroll forecasts based on organizational design strategies

Coordinate with team on HR metrics and best practices

People Leadership

Foster a culture that promotes ethical practices and encourages individual integrity, accountability and responsibility

Provide regular feedback and coaching to encourage development of the team

Proactively develop a team of A players with the knowledge, skills, energy and passion

Lead performance management and employee engagement process for everyone on your team

Administration

Responsible for management of Office Administration

Manage IT services, health benefits, and insurance contract negotiations

Oversee payroll and benefits administration

About You

Must-haves:

Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce or Finance

Minimum of 3 years in a HR management role

Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting and finance

Demonstrated leadership experience in an organization

Extensive knowledge and experience dealing with governance, HR policies, accounting and payroll systems, budgets, internal controls, CRA, business planning, and asset management

Nice-to-haves:

Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA)

MBA is an asset

CHRL an asset

French Language skills

Compensation: $100k – $120k
