Job title: Director of Finance – Food – Mississauga

Job description: Must have knowledge/experience in IFSR – Int’l Financial Reporting Standards & ASPE – Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise

• Managing and coordinating all accounting functions

• Managing and overseeing numerous bookkeepers and accountants, Training and mentoring

• Oversee the yearly and mid-year budget process

• Review all business performance metrics

• Prepare internal and external financial statements

• Work with external auditors and Head Office

• Evaluate internal control systems and provide recommendations for required changes

• Oversee financial reporting and compliance

• Provide guidance for hiring and training accounting staff

• Effective at explaining variances to budget and costing business initiatives

• Member of the Leadership Team

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years work experience in a Senior Financial Role

• Experience working in manufacturing or food production services in a multi-business unit environment

• Exposure in a Quickbooks working environment using excel at an advance level

• A Bachelor in Accounting, Finance/Commerce and a professional designation (CPA) is a must
