JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the VP Infrastructure & Operations, the Director IT Workplace & Regional Services is responsible to deliver a quality client computing experience globally for McCain employees to enable business capabilities and services throughout the organization.

The Director IT Workplace & Regional Services brings current knowledge and future vision for the function including its strategy, service offerings and workforce. The Director is a senior stakeholder in all relationships with externally sourced support and operations capabilities.

As a key member of the senior I&O leadership team this role contributes to the development and execution of the I&O strategy and is responsible for ensuring the Workplace & Regional Services team is aligned to positioning I&O to deliver compelling busines value.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works with the VP Infrastructure & Operations and other senior stakeholders to shape our I&O Strategy
• The functional areas of IT Workplace & Regional Services include desktop/laptop and mobile hardware, desktop operating system standards, desktop productivity software, IT Service Catalogue development, and printing services management
• Responsible for the deployment and adoption of Microsoft 365 productivity and collaboration tools (Office, Teams, Yammer, SharePoint)
• Overseeing support activities in conjunction with other I&O teams, such as Operations & Platform Support, Network & UC Services, and OT Support, to ensure the services and technology perform well in production
• Improve functional and organization performance through the application of original thinking to existing and emerging methods, processes, products and services
• Works with the VP Infrastructure & Operations on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources, including budget
• Collaborates with the Information Security team to ensure all support and operations embrace and apply the security strategy
• Provides oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management
• Define and report on operations KPIs and metrics that represent progress against goals
• Create a broad network of business relationships to strengthen our understanding of the market and best practice, and industry trends
• Partner with the HR function to build talent within the function

KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

• Degree in computer science or a technology-related field, or equivalent work- or education-related experience
• Minimum of 7 – 10 years of previous experience in technology operations, technology development & support management (at least three must be in a senior leadership role)
• Experience managing budgets over $10M and administrative management and team development of at least 30 staff
• Up-to-date knowledge of methodologies and trends in both business and IT
• Proven track record for developing, managing, measuring, improving, and scaling regional support operations. Performing these functions within an ITIL based structure is a must
• Excellent analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, as well as the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment and meet overall objectives
• Strong experience in managing third-party relationships
