Job Overview
Job title: Director of Marketing
Job description: The Ian Martin Group is looking for a Director of Marketing to help us reach new heights in the staffing and recruiting industry. We are in high-growth mode and have a new brand, Raise Recruiting (https://raiserecruiting.com/) , that is leveraging our market momentum to scale our company’s ability to connect people in meaningful work. We are on the hunt for a marketing leader who challenges the status quo with proven B2B marketing experience in content marketing and brand storytelling. This role is all about telling compelling stories about the impact and potential of the new offerings from Raise Recruiting – Managed Direct Sourcing & Volume Hiring – to generate leads and increase brand awareness. The larger purpose of this role is to help Ian Martin complete our transformation into a marketing-led company. This role resides within the “Craftshop” – a tightly-knit content and design team responsible for creating the entire knowledge product portfolio at Ian Martin. They embrace hard work, demonstrate adaptability and possess a high appetite to learn. This team is filled with creative high performers who are in-house experts in writing, graphic design, website development, video, photography, among other technical creative disciplines. WE’RE ALL ABOUT MEANINGFUL WORK: We’ve been in the business of technical and executive recruiting for more than sixty years and have grown to 400+ employees in Canada, the US, and India. But we’re not just about finding people to fill jobs. We’re building a world where each and every person is pursuing meaningful work. We like to think of ourselves as the world’s most advanced and progressive recruitment firm – that’s a bold claim, and here’s how we back it up. Unlike most companies, we’re self-managed: there are no bosses. Every employee has the opportunity to do their best and most meaningful work using our “Teal O/S (https://teal.ianmartin.com/) ”, an organizational operating system that balances freedom & responsibility. As our Director of Marketing, you can do anything – provided you get advice and support from colleagues. It might sound nuts, but it’s very effective. Last year we ranked #2 on the Best Workplaces in Canada list, and 96% of our employees agreed with the statement “this is a great place to work”. The Ian Martin Group is also a certified B Corp (https://bcorporation.net/) . B stands for Benefit, which means our purpose goes way beyond profits as we operate to benefit all our partners and meet much higher standards of positive social and environmental impact than the average company. Ian Martin cares about Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI). We strive to build a team that reflects the diversity of the community we work in and encourage applications from traditionally underrepresented groups such as women, visible minorities, Indigenous peoples, people identifying as LGBTQ2SI, veterans, and people with disabilities. We take this commitment very seriously and want to explicitly state that we are ready and willing to make accommodations for any interested applicants. We also have a mighty internal task force stewarding this work, addressing systemic issues both internally, and externally through projects, programming and engaging with allied clients and partners. And finally, we’re also a ‘Family Forward’ company. We appreciate people coming from a variety of maternal, paternal, and familial circumstances. Whether you are in, about to, or coming out of mat/pat leave, we got you.
