The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate, results-oriented, and innovative Director of Product Management to drive the development of consumer facing web and mobile features that help our clients stay connected to their money.

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, and working as a senior member of the technology team, you will manage the technology lifecycle of new products, features or enhancements from conceptualization, requirements gathering, product specification, implementation review and release.

This is a role that is more execution in focus, with an ability to lead the product management team in delivering the product vision conceptualized by our Chief Product Officer, while working hand in hand with our software engineering team to drive implementation. A strong project management background in a technical environment is a must.

As the Director of Product Management, you will direct the design and development activities to contribute to the vision and strategy of the eCapital product line, ensuring the overall product roadmap supports the vision of our Chief Product Officer, aligns with the goals and strategy of the business, and reflects market intelligence and customer needs.

Additionally, Product Management Director is responsible for product delivery schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development by coordinating with sales, marketing, engineering, and operations to successfully release new products on time and within budget.

This is a fast-paced environment with stretch deliverables. To be successful you must be able to manage multiple competing priorities, have a resilient ability to engage with business leadership with strong opinions, and leadership skills to achieve the most from your team.

What you will do:

• Execute on the product vision determined by the Chief Product Officer.
• Direct the product team which owns the product life-cycle, translating user testing and feedback into feature/function requirements.
• Effectively communicate the vision and strategy, taking into consideration different stakeholders. While the product vision is determined by the Chief Product Officer, you will be key in influencing the implementation of the vision under the eCapital brand.
• Direct the build of high-quality, functional prototypes that convey, prove, and advance the web and mobile products and applications.
• Collaborate with IT leadership from concept through to launch to ensure the highest quality technical solution.
• Work closely with designers, internal business partners, project management, engineers and other subject matter experts.
• Use your Project Management skills to participate in the full lifecycle of product development; including ideation, design, development, implementation and validation.
• Be the owner of JIRA and ensure proper use and engagement across the IT department.
• Define the KPIs to measure the success of the product.
• Be a mentor to the product management team with the ability to encourage, develop and grow the staff.

What you need:

• Must have Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business.
• 5+ years of managerial experience as a software product manager or director.
• 5+ years of experience working in an Agile Software Development environment.
• A technical background with strong IT leadership, project management, analytical problem solving, technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience with Project Management in an IT environment will be key to execute on the product vision.
• Understand and fluent usage across a broad spectrum of technologies including mobile technologies, API, security, and payments.
• Strong creative and conceptual thinker as well as, strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Experience in start-up environment preferred.
