As the Distribution Supervisor, you will manage the labor and equipment operations as well as overseeing the receiving of customer retail. You will work in conjunction with the control tower for guidance and direction. On-time completion and maintaining quality orders to meet customer retail requirements will be on the top of your priority list.

Position Summary:

Supervise and manage the labor and equipment of the Pick/Pack/Ship operation in conjunction with the control tower guidance and direction. Work closely with all departments to ensure on-time completion and maintain quality of orders to meet customer Retail requirements. Work with the staffing agencies to ensure proper start-up and time is keeping is adhered too. Work with control tower on labor management and priority of orders. You will oversee receiving, High Bay / Low Bay and the Central Supply, direct shipping, pick and pack and traffic as well as customer retail routing grids.

Overall responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinates activities of employees
  • Receiving of materials
  • Transferring of materials
  • Entering Purchase Order Numbers
  • Hire and ensure proper training of new employees for picking, packing and shipping departments
  • Ensure proper procedures are adhered to and up to date for the control tower for current and new customers.
  • Performance management of all employees (KPI’s)
  • Document, update and ensure procedures and quality processes are followed
  • Maintain supplies and equipment levels for the department Monitor and adhere to customer requests and vendor specific shipping requirements
  • Maintain conveyors continued flow of product to designated areas
  • Update and maintain Kronos and Metrics in excel, as it relates to WMS reporting
  • Monitor picking packing and shipping functions on the floor
  • Ensure that shift end specific procedures with all shipping systems are completed and floor end of shift close out are followed
  • New customer integration and migration testing

Minimum Requirements:

  • SAP is a must or equivalent WMS systems
  • 3 years of Supervisory experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or six years of experience in a Warehouse environment required
  • 3 years in a SAP and /or WMS environment
  • Experience with inventory research

Preferred Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional knowledge with Retail routing guidelines
  • Must possess solid analytical skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.
  • Computer literacy applied.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of picking, packing and shipping tasks along with – UPS, DHL, FEDEX
  • Self-directed and goal orientated
  • Team Orientated
  • Fork lift license required
  • Knowledge with client retail routing guidelines
